Two Belgians in London (3)

At last, we arrived at the Lush shop on Oxford Street. And what a shop it was. It has three stories with the size of more than twenty Lush Ghent shops. I won’t lie, it wasn’t just for my wife, I like the soaps and shampoos as well. So it was a nice experience, but quite overwhelming. Think of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but then with all the bathroom products you can imagine and then a few more. Not only the size and the products of the shop were overwhelming, I think there were over twenty employees present. At times I suspect there were more employees than customers. Welcome back! To continue, we arrived a minute before noon at the large, but beautiful St Pancras Station (not to be mistaken for "pancreas", that’s something else). It took us about half an hour to exit the station, top up our oyster cards and find the right underground train. Not long after we were already walking on Oxford Street. If a travel company reads this, feel free to sponsor us and I’ll make it a series about Europe’s capitals and beyond! Before you leave for London, there are a number of practical things you need to consider. How to get there, where to stay and what kind of transport to use there. Now I won’t discuss all the options available, but just what we did and whether it felt like a good idea or not. To get to London, we used Eurostar. I know, probably not the cheapest option, but if you want to go and leave/arrive at a specific time and you generally don’t plan trips a year in advance (like us), it is alright. We paid €120 for everything, but we neatly arrived on a Wednesday at 12 o’clock and left at 6 o’clock p.m. on Friday without any hassle. For getting around in London, we borrowed 2 Oyster cards instea
